Choosing the initial Largest 120 inch professional screen display can be quite a daunting prospect in the huge variety of displays available ranging under 2" close to 100" and with variations in brightness, contrast ratio, aspect ratio, viewing angle, display technology, connections, mounting options and, needless to say, price.

Normally you want the greatest, brightest display with the greatest possible viewing angle but often you simply can't find everything in one display plus you've got decide which attributes to favor. This article discusses each attribute helping you decide what you should purchase.

Although bigger is usually better, a smaller display could be more suited to particular location like counter inside a doctor's office, pole-mounted mounted next to a money register or mounted on shelves in a aisle. Often it may be more effective to set multiple smaller displays closer to the items these are promoting as opposed to having one larger display looking to promote multiple products.

Modern screens offer an aspect ratio of 16:9 (widescreen) although 4:3 monitors are still common and several computer monitors have slightly different ratios like 16:10. Some display manufacturers start to produce novel displays with unusual aspect ratios like the LG M3800S-BN display that includes a very wide format making it ideal to match a narrow space over a wall for example over a bar or cabinet. It is important would be to keep your chosen display type and orientation is backed up by your digital signage software so it can cause content that fills the display without having black bars with out distortion.

Most digital signage software also supports displays which were rotated 90 degrees to the left or right. This is often a fantastic way to maximize screen space on the narrow wall similar to an entrance lobby. What's more, it makes for a great poster format for content more suitable for an agreement that way, for example, a menu. Before you are attempting mounting a display in the rotated configuration factors to consider it has good viewing angles in this orientation (on that below).

A high-brightness display is particularly important should your chosen location is subject to sunlight or bright lighting. Many consumer-grade displays simply aren't bright enough to the average retail or storefront location and you will probably need to take a look at brighter industrial-grade displays for such locations.

Contrast ratios and black levels are very important but less crucial for digital signage than, say, a screen to indicate movies on. Typically you are going to design your prepared to make sure that your text has quite high contrast up against the background image or video and that makes all the absolute blackness or final contrast less important compared to a screen for watching movies.

Viewing angle, however, is a bit more necessary for digital signage than for regular TV watching since your audience are occasionally off-axis and moving around as an alternative to doing nothing directly in front of the screen since they could be at home. You need as wide a viewing angle as is possible to ensure people can understand your messages even when these are viewing the screen at an oblique angle. 180 degrees is clearly the theoretical best viewing angle possible mainly because it means anyone while watching screen can see it but typically you will discover screens claiming around 140 to 160 degrees. The quoted viewing angle is however somewhat meaningless as most manufacturers utilize the angle where the contrast ratio is 10% from the on-axis contrast... that's barely enough to find out not to say to communicate your message clearly. Most LCDs use a 'realistic' viewing angle for digital signage close to 30-40 degrees from both sides of on-axis.

Viewing angle is commonly quoted simply for the horizontal direction because screens are usually mounted at eye-level and everybody in the room reaches the identical level. However if you are mounting your screen up high, or if you mount it inside a 90 degree rotated orientation (portrait rather than landscape) you have to bother about the vertical viewing angle. Because number might not be designed for your favorite screen insid
